What do we actually mean by "an app"?
Not something you download from the App Store or Google Play. These are private tools built for the person or organisation that asked for one: a business, a team, or a household. They are never offered to the general public.
Nothing to download, nothing to learn. An app here is simply a page that opens in your web browser (like your online banking or a booking site) where you and your team get a job done: logging a delivery, turning a messy inbox into tidy records, or seeing at a glance how the week's going.

And the name? We're Appy, a small UK-based team who design and build apps for a living. We kept the name plain for the same reason we keep everything else plain: you should know exactly what we do, and what you're getting.

Glad you asked. Before Appy, we spent 38 years in blue-chip organisations, designing end-to-end systems and processes and running multinational operations in logistics, finance, market research, supply chain and strategic planning. We also run our own portfolio of businesses, and we build apps to help us do it, so we know what it's like to be the one signing off every pound.
That experience shapes every app we build. We know what makes a company tick, what's worth automating and what's just noise, and we'll help you cut through the stuff you don't need, so you stay nimble and a step ahead of the competition.
